Journeyman Electrician & Solar Installer – Rocky View Solar
We are seeking a meticulous, self-motivated and adaptable team member within our growing company to support the operations team with installing solar photovoltaic systems and site assessments. Rocky View Solar is growing rapidly and the successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting current roles within the company.
Job Requirements:
● Enjoy meeting new people and creating strong working relationships with them
● Must have a minimum of 5 years electrical experience
● Must be comfortable working from heights.
● Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
● Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers record.
● Must be willing to occasionally work out of town for 2-3 days at a time.
● Work well in a team as well as be able to work independently
● Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
● Computer literacy. This position includes some computer work.
● Attention to detail and quality work
Responsibilities:
● Installation of residential, commercial and industrial PV systems
● Receiving shipments, loading trucks, delivering products to worksites, setting-up scaffolding and
equipment at worksites.
● Complete site assessments for potential new clients
● Process all client folder information in our computer system
● Excellent customer service is a must as the site assessment is the first time meeting our potential
clients in person
Other duties may include but are not limited to:
● Special projects and research
● General administrative support with current staff
● Support the Sales team with contacting all new leads
● Support Customer Service team by responding to incoming calls and emails from the public
● Sales and business development in Southern Alberta
● Some work requires flexible shifts and occasional out of town trips.
Additional Information
● This is a full time permanent position, 35-40 hours per week
● Hourly Compensation, $35-40/hr depending on experience and responsibilities
● Health & Dental benefits after 3 months of employment
● Company Truck will be provided (pending verification of a clean driving record)
● Company Net Profit sharing & Incentive Structure available
● Training will be provided on all aspects of this position
