What Happens After My Solar Installation?

  1. The lead electrician on your file will request a final onsite electrical inspection from an Electrical inspector. (Approx. 3- 7 business days after installation).
  2. ENMAX Customers: Once the Electrical inspector approves the installed system, we will flip your solar PV breaker to the on position. Once the array is energized, our tech team will set- up your solar energy monitoring account remotely. We’ll send a final invoice at this time too. Rocky View Solar will update your utility company with your approved final inspection and request utility interconnection. (Approx. 3-5 business days). FORTIS Customers: Once the Electrical Inspector approves the installed system, we will submit the report to the utility company to request interconnection and they will assign a crew to come and install the new bi-directional meter. Upon installation of the meter, we will flip your solar photovoltaics breaker to the on position. Once the array is energized, our tech team will set- up your solar energy monitoring account remotely. We’ll send a final invoice at this time too. (Approx. 10-14 business days).
  3. Once your invoice is paid you’ll receive a Welcome Package with details about your new solar array including specs for your solar panels/inverter models, general solar production info, our maintenance & warranty support and your monitoring instructions with login details.
  4. If you have applied for the Canada Greener Homes (CGH) grant we will provide you with the Grant Detailed Project Summary so you can request your funds from CGH.
